Weather forecasts are notoriously unreliable. One of the more interesting and fairly reliable forecasts is the 9 day forecast on http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/avnpanel1.html
It shows the temperature of the airmasses and this is relatively reliable say compared with the position of a particular cold or warm front. teh outcome is it may be cold for a while but its due to change and great weather in a weeks time. So yes great to get out sea kayaking in Scotland and the Oban area in particular.
Plenty of time at the momnet to think ABOUT OBAN ADVENTURES OR ADVENTUROUS THINGS TO DO IN OBAN. Sea kayak Oban are also running inflatable kayak trips this coming summer on the beautiful white water of the River Awe. This is an excellent half day Adventure. They are also running abseiling adventures in Oban on some of the crags in the area.
There should be plenty to do in Oban this year.

Sea Kayak Oban are on course for April Opening with a great range of Sea Kayaks to suit all pockets and to go with these a superb range of clothing and accessories. We will be open every day with a big Demo fleet. If we havent got it its because the manufacturer thinks you should buy before you try and is unwilling to supply "demo" kayaks.
We will be offering great Sea kayak Instruction at a great price to anyone who buys a kayak with us. Also for those of you who dont like to have a sea kayak on your car roof all the time or who have realised Oban is a great place to keep it we are offering Sea Kayak Storage 60 meters from the water.
So imagine driving through the stunning Scottish Highlands on a friday afternoon for a superb evenings paddle out of Oban Harbour before a sunset dinner at Eeusk overlooking the water. Or you could catch the last sea plane of the day from Glasgow and in 20 mins beon the water.
